How to Become an Illinois Real Estate Pre-License Instructor

Have you ever considered becoming a licensed real estate instructor?

An applicant for a license as a pre-license instructor must meet the following criteria:

  • Pass a state instructors exam with a minimum score of 75%.
  • Attend and  successfully complete a licensed 12 hour pre-license instructor training program.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the areas to be taught.

Complete licensing details and application for licensing are available from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional regulation.  The Candidate Handbook for Instructor Licensing provides information about the state exam.

Your House Real Estate Academy will be offering the required 12-hour training program on Tuesday July 29 and Friday August 1, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You must attend both sessions.

The classes will be held at 181 S. Bloomingdale Road, Suite 203B, Bloomingdale Illinois.
